What is adult day care?
Adult day care is a community-based group program designed to meet the needs of functionally impaired adults through a structured, comprehensive program that provides a variety of health, social and related support services, including appropriate therapy, rehabilitation and supervision services, in a protective setting during any part of the day.
What days and hours are you open?
We are open Monday-Friday 9:00am-3:00pm.
Do you provide transportation?
Yes, we provide transportation with in a 20 mile radius of the center.
What if my loved one is hesitant to come to the center?
Encourage your loved one to try it for a day before making their decision. Visit the center with your loved one. Stay with them until they are comfortable. Typically after coming to the center a few times, they become more comfortable and it becomes part of their routine.
If my loved one has dementia, can they still attend the center?
Yes, Litchfield Hills ADC can accommodate seniors with mild to moderate Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia. We have staff trained in these specific areas.
What if my loved one has hearing or visual impairment?
We have a variety of activities to meet the needs of all of our members.
